I need a cheap (very cheap) dress to wear out to my fake bachelorette party-which, that I’ll be explaining soon.
If they have it in store, which I’ll check today, this one is for sure in the running.

*I will not buy this dress on Modcloth just because it is on sale. I will not buy this dress on Modcloth just because it is on sale. I will not buy this dress on Modcloth just because it on sale. I will not buy this dress on Modcloth just because it is on sale*
I really wish I wasn’t…I know all the reasons I shouldn’t be…but man am I a sucker for a royal wedding.
They’re featuring a glorious array of backless, cut-out and other wise sweetly seductive back revealing dresses and tops. While some gals prefer to show off cleavage, I prefer to show a little back (mostly because… um… I have no cleavage).
My personal faves are:
This Haute Hippe number
This Twelfth Street dress
This Blue Life seksi thang
And this demure yet show stopping Geren Ford top
But you can check ‘em all out here.
LOVE all of these. I am a big fan of the back as well.
The style of dress that Diane Kruger is wearing to the Met Costume Institute Gala this year drives me crazy. People tend to rave over them when they show up on red carpets, but I’m sticking with the belief that it has never been flattering on anyone. Ever.
Calvin? Let’s retire this.

This Robert Rodriguez Eyelet Romper + A Vodka Lemonade = A very good day
(and if you were just thinking to yourself, “Is it just me, or does Emily post a romper obsession with each new season”….um, it’s not just you, I have a history of romper love. Here are my picks from last Winter, Fall and Summer.)
I too am and have been pretty romper-obsessed. This is adorable.
Is is possible that I NEED a rainbow sequin dress? Yes? Yes, right?
This is no longer sold. And I almost want to cry about that.
Way to tease me, internets.
Last night I finally watched The September Issue, which, I will admit, made me love Anna Wintour even more than I had before.
Say what you want about her, and really, what hasn’t been said before…but the woman is amazing. A bitch, obviously, but amazing not in-spite of that, but more-so because of it. What other woman on the planet has as much influence over a single industry as Anna has over fashion (Oprah, I suppose and her influence over the sheep of America, but that’s a whole different thing). To watch people cower in her presence, to watch her decide what designers will make it, or “suggest” what their next line should be was just overwhelmingly impressive to me.
The movie does little to dispel the image that Lauren Weisberger put forth in her thinly veiled “The Devil Wears Prada,” but I for one was happy about that. I get tired of the notion that women always have to coddle kittens and placate other people’s feelings…and maybe that’s just because I’m a pretty big bitch myself. In a man’s world…in “men’s industries” the traits that are abhorred on women are respected. Anna Wintour got where she is not by being the nicest person, but by being the best.
I’m pretty sure I am in awe of her.
Rachel McAdams at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party last night
Finally a picture of the back of this lovely dress, and of course there are a row of buttons to make it perfect!
She is flawless. Always flawless. Also, I might actually kill someone for this dress..and a place to wear it, probably, because I might be a wee bit overdressed for my lavish grocery store runs.
